Manchester United drew 1-1 with Leeds United and Gary Neville believes there's been a 'tear up' in the dressing room

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville believes there's 'definitely' been a 'tear up' in the United dressing room after Lisandro Martinez's explosive interview following the defeat to Atletico Madrid.

The Argentinian defender came out swinging in his post-match interview, taking a swipe at sporting director Jason Wilcox, claiming there should have been more investment during the summer transfer window.

United teammate Amad also found himself in hot water, with a cryptic social media post after the defeat to Atleti midweek, with the words "Fing disgrace. I have no words."

Head coach Michael Carrick said on Friday that it was intended as a message to back Martinez, but he called on Amad to use the passion and emotion in the right way.

Speaking on the Gary Neville podcast after the 1-1 draw with Leeds, the former United captain said: "They still have to finish fifth. Today's a stepping stone, but we can't get carried away.

> "I mean, it's because of what we thought might happen before. I actually thought they'd win today, I thought there would be a response. > > "I think that dressing room's definitely had a... I think they've had a tear-up and they've had a meeting, 100 per cent. > > "There's no way they've not dealt with that Martinez issue. If you think about Amad Diallo's Snapchat, saying 'You're an effing disgrace.'

> "Well, that's at his team-mate. So they're obviously launching each other, I think it's got a bit about him, Amad, to be fair. So has Martinez, Martinez has got something about him. > > "He's gone rogue, but so has Amad. You're an effing disgrace, that's what's happening here, that's the dynamic. Well, that can only be a good thing for Michael Carrick. > > "Because you're looking at it and thinking, he needs something. He needs somebody to start fighting back, he needs something to cause a moment. > > "He needs something, he needs a rocket up it. So, yeah, maybe that's the turning point. Maybe Lisandro Martinez has done the best motivational speech that he's ever done for Manchester United on Tuesday night. Maybe he's done them a favour."
