José Mourinho is not unanimous on the question of the Spanish calendar. While the Real Madrid coach recently denounced La Liga’s lack of consideration regarding rest times between matches, Hansi Flick was questioned on the subject at a press conference. And unlike the Portuguese, the FC Barcelona technician prefers not to dwell on the constraints imposed on clubs. “ We have experienced this situation before. In some countries it’s different, but for us things are what they are “, he explained. To illustrate his point, the German recalled a complicated trip to Valencia in the Copa del Rey. “ Our flight was canceled and we had to return by bus to Barcelona. We had a match right after and we played well “, he said, before emphasizing the need to adapt rather than complain.

A response which comes as Barça is also preparing to have two important meetings in just a few days. The Blaugranas will travel to Betis Sevilla on Saturday at 6:30 p.m., before taking on Paris Saint-Germain four days later at the Parc des Princes in the Champions League. “ We cannot change this situation, but we must perform well on the ground, that is what depends on us “, continued Flick, determined to keep his group focused on their goals. The Barcelona coach can currently rely on exceptional momentum, since his team has won its first ten matches of the season, in all competitions. Despite this perfect record, he believes that his players still have room for improvement.
