Bayern Munich was represented at the 2026 Bavarians Sports Awards ceremony, with Bayern coach Vincent Kompany and player Nathaniel Brown both receiving honors. Speaking after the ceremony, Brown discussed his initial nerves and his breakthrough over the past year.
> “I was a bit nervous at the beginning, but I’m very proud and happy that my family was here,” the 23-year-old said (as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia ). “It was a very nice day. It’s incredible, sometimes I can’t grasp it myself. I just want to enjoy it, but I know that I have to keep working and not let up.”
Brown previously starred for Eintracht Frankfurt and showed strong promise during an otherwise disastrous campaign for Germany at the 2026 World Cup. His performances caught the eye of Bayern Munich, who managed to secure him in a €50 million deal over the summer. His displays since arriving have fully justified why the Bavarians brought him in.
