Against Real Betis this Saturday evening, FC Barcelona claimed their eleventh win (5-2)... in eleven matches across all competitions this season.
In La Liga, that makes nine wins from nine games. No team had made such a start to the Spanish league season since 1968/1969.
Barcelona have now equalled the best start to a season in La Liga history, a record held until now... by Real Madrid.
If Barça win next week, ten wins from ten games would give them the outright record for the best start to a season in La Liga history. And who do Barça play next week? Real Madrid. Fancy that!
This Clásico is going to be red-hot!
