The Stade de la Meinau hosts the clash between Strasbourg and Paris Saint-Germain this Saturday, October 17, on Matchday 7 of Ligue 1. Luis Enrique’s side sit sixth with 11 points and are aiming for a fourth consecutive league win after beating Le Mans 3-1. The Parisians are counting on the fine form of Ferran Torres, the league’s top scorer with four goals, although the Asturian coach plans to rotate his squad with the European clash against Barcelona coming three days later.
Meanwhile, Hugo Oliveira’s Strasbourg sit 12th and are looking to bounce back after two straight defeats. The hosts remain unbeaten at home, however, and both teams have scored in their last five meetings. With Dario Essugo doubtful and Panichelli ruled out, the Alsatian side will try to contain the visitors’ clinical attack.
